Tales of Hope 2

  1. Why do I mourn
    The passing of a stranger,
Who sang a song of sixpence
    And turned it into millions?
    A Harry, Dick or Tom.

    Well I suppose
    The bullets that destroyed him,
They struck a part within me
    That dares to be dreamer,
    That whistles for the moon.

    Most modern music
    Struggles to find you pulse.
Now and then a man comes along,
    Who slides into your heart.

    His rock´n´roll
    Enflamed our generation,
    Defied the world to listen.
You take it or you leave it,
    The music and the man.

    Most modern music
    Struggles to find you pulse.
Now and then a man comes along,
    Who slides into your heart.

    Oh, Julia,
Your John was like a brother.
For all his faults and fancies,
    Men of his complexion
    Are few and far between.

    Most modern music
    Struggles to find you pulse.
Now and then a man comes along,
    Who slides into your heart.

  2. Jackie is a very special person.
She sets me going like a key that winds a doll.
And whren she´s not around to lend her hand
I can´t find my motion, I feel I´m gonna fade.

Oh, Jackie, could you wind me up again?
    I feel I´m slipping back.
Oh, Jackie, don´t throw away the key.
It gives me strength to make me move again.

Lately I´ve been having lots of setbacks,
Been diving deep, I´m in a sorry sort of state.
I´ve missed you in a way that can´t be good for me.
I´m so glad you´re returng, I was getting pretty low.

Oh, Jackie, could you wind me up again?
    I feel I´m slipping back.
Oh, Jackie, don´t throw away the key.
It gives me strength to make me move again.

Hey, Jackie, I think I´m back in the beat now.
Can you see me moving, like a bouncing little boy?
Hey, you´re a good friend, the best I ever had.
I know who I can turn to when the world gets me down.

Oh, Jackie, could you wind me up again?
    I feel I´m slipping back.
Oh, Jackie, don´t throw away the key.
It gives me strength to make me move again.

It gives me strength to make me move again.

  3. This is a Song - nothing particular.
Only a song - may even sound peculiar
It just brings back memories of when I was a kid:
Feelings and fantasies and things I never did.

Who would believe - that it could stress you?
Who would believe - that it could mess you up, get you down?
Leave you working, fingers to the bone?
Sweating and swearing, won´t leave you alone?

Deep in the night - without a word of warning.
Deep in the night - or late in the morning.
It calls for commitment, might cause you pain.
But it won´t be neglected, keeps coming back again.

    And again, and again...

    Ooh, I don´t want it.
Ooh, don´t want it to go away.
Ooh, this is thrilling, but it´s killing me.
A real high a price to pay.

Don´t get me wrong - I enjoy the company.
Don´t get me wrong - no other place I´d rather be.
You live for a melody, and it stays in your head
Follows you everywhere, even sleeps in your bed.

    It´s only a song.
So might as well sing it.
It´s there, so why not sing it.
    Might as well sing it
    And be done.
